This item presents a menu that allows the user to search documents in a number of ways. The two principal search methods are by Shape and Type. For Shape searches, there are three shape types currently supported: Rectangle, Circle, and Polygon. To place a shape, click the "Place Shape" button and draw the desired shape on the Detail Map. To delete the shape, use the "Delete Shape" button. Before searching, select either the Inside or the Overlap spatial mode. "Inside" will search for features that are contained within the searching shape, while "Overlap" will search for features that fit within or overlap it. Lastly, click the "Select Document Types" button to open the selection dialog box and put a check mark beside the desired document types.

To place a shape, use the mouse to draw a rectangle on the active map.


Click "View" under
the "Document" column to view the document. Click a page number
under the "GeoReferenced Page(s)" column to view a
georeferenced page
on the active map.



To look for a document using "Document Search By Type", enter its values in the fields to the left of the map, and click the Search button.

After specifying the key field values, clicking the "Search" button to get the searching results, which are samilar with searching by Shape.
